Steps for getting the perfect concrete driveway
Step 1
Call our office to arrange a FREE onsite measure & quote.
Step 2
Concept Concrete will provide you with a contractual agreement to sign. To secure a start date we require a 20% deposit via bank transfer or credit card. Please confirm your desired concrete mix. We recommend referring to our works completed document to assist with your selection.
Step 3
We will conduct an initial site inspection. Following this, we will begin site preparation. Site preparation may include excavation and drainage and will include crushed rock base, formwork and steel being installed as per the standards in the National Construction Code of Australia and Australian Standard 2870. Temporary barricades will be installed for site protection.
Step 4
Leading Hand for your project will go through scope of works with you, discuss site plan and any particular requirements and or known location of services at the property. Inspection will be completed by our Concept Concrete Registered Builder Practitioner. During inspection a series of checklists will be completed to ensure work meets our stringent guidelines and to ensure we maintain our high standards of workmanship, following the National Construction Code of Australia and Australian Standard 2870. After inspection is conducted, 60% pre-pour payment is required prior to concrete pour.
Step 5
Once payment is received the concrete pour will be scheduled. The concrete process includes pouring and exposing or finishing the concrete*. We will then cut the concrete within a 36 hour period. Following this we will arrange for your driveway to be acid wa36-hourd sealed**.
Step 6
Concept Concrete will carry out a final check to ensure our high standards of workmanship are met. Concept Concrete will issue a care and maintenance kit, along with your final invoice, which is payable at this time.
Step 7
All works include a 6.5-year structural warranty. Concept Concrete is a Registered Building Practitioner.

*** You must not drive any vehicle on your driveway for at least seven days following pouring of the concrete. We recommend that you do not drive any vehicle on your driveway for 28 days following the pouring of the concrete. This is to prevent cracks occurring on your driveway. This is following National Construction Code of Australia and Australian Standard 2870 which specifies that concrete will not have its full strength until 28 days after pouring.
